smartsm is delivered as "Software as a Service" which gives you the fastest, leanest and cheapest way of using the product.
We install a small piece of software, called an “Adapter” onto your LMS server which automatically sends a monthly extract of your bibliographic and item/holding data to our smartsm server, securely over the internet by FTP.
You then access the smartsm application by logging on to any internet-enabled PC.
All your IT department needs to do is to open up a FTP port - which should only take a couple of hours.
