News - November 2009

We are delighted to announce that Leeds City Council have decided to join the growing number of UK public libraries subscribing to smartsm and we look forward to working closely with them going forward.

Sandra Sharp, ICT Business Development Manager at Leeds commented "Leeds Library and Information Service are looking forward to working with Bridgeall Libraries. We are hoping that smartsm, along with the RFID we are rolling out, will enable us to make our stock work more effectively and efficiently for our customers. It will also help us to make sure that more of the books our customers want to read are in the libraries they want to use."

Last month we announced Leicestershire Libraries subscribe to smartsm. Development Manager Steve Kettle said…”Following the introduction of self-service issue we are looking for a proven evidence based tool to support stock management in Leicestershire. We believe that smartsm will provide a wealth of detail to enable us to better target stock work in libraries as well as support selection of new stock through its Procurement Module”.
